Firstly the MBC channels (Action, 2, Max) are all showing the same programme since Saturday - a programme about Mecca. Does anybody know what is happening???

Secondly I can get no signal for MBC Persia, Claquette, Kanal4, Panorama Action, and TopMovies. Has anybody else the same problem???

The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia has died, so all state channels are showing the same programmes about him, his funeral, etc.

The others have either stopped transmitting out of respect, or have closed down. We'll see after the period of mourning is over.

Donaldson

That explains MBC, the UAE is very tight with Saudi - thank you.

I've been doing some research and found that on 23/10/2011:-

MBC Persia moved from 12398V to 12380V

Panorama Action moved from 12341H to 12360H

Kanal4 also moved on Saturday but I haven't found the details yet

Nilesat is actually 3 satellites - Nilesat 101, Nilesat 102 and Nilesat 201. They are all at 7°W so it is convenient to treat them as one on your satellite box.

It should also be noted that a lot of the channels we count as Nilesat are actually coming from Atlantic Bird 7 (which is also at 7°W) because it's transmission frequencies are often loaded into the list under Nilesat in your satellite box. Atlantic Bird 4A (also at 7°W) is now redundant.

It is worth ensuring occasionally that your list is up to date. If you follow this link it shows all satellites at 7°W and every channel available listed by frequency. From this you can check the frequency list (TP list) set up for Nilesat in your box.

I have an MS Word (98) document with all the frequencies if anybody would like it emailed to them.

On reflection I will put this in a separate topic.
