The power of the public and of contributors to this forum ,is truly amazing ! Even the" Great" Mr. Hassan is humbled ! Who said , men ruled the world ? Why should a woman pay more for a "haircut " than a man ? Mr Hassan should climb down from his ivory tower and just become an ordinary member of the human race and stop being pretentious, permanantly ! i.e. for a couple of months, anyway ! Time for self important people to get a reality check !

To be fair , almost every Salon in the UK has a Top Stylist , and if you want the top stylist , then yes you do have to pay more . Maybe Mr Hassan is the Top Stylist , and no i don't know him or the salon he works in

Hassan is the top stylist, and it's pretty obvious to me that he is trying to build a client base for his employees.

I can only imagine that most English clients would prefer that he tends to their hair, therefore, he could be selfish and just let the others shampoo and blow dry etc.



Mess. 2,3 and 4. Do you not think it's difficult enough for people to run a business over here without snide remarks?



I can imagine how stressful it must be trying to please the public , as being an ex florist, I had the very same situation in my shops.

You pay the wages, but most clients want YOU to do all the work.



I can understand that the first post does sound pretentious, but I'm sure it wasn't meant.

If it was written in Turkish, (I think) it would have been written as Hassan Bey. Respectful.

Msg 3, why should ladies pay more than men ? maybe it's because ladies hair require more expertise , more than say a short back and sides , so more time needed to trim cut or restyle . Men just go in for a cut or trim mostly . plus most men do not have much hair to cut anyway

Many men have their hair "styled " not just "cut" and hairstylists don't charge a man with long hair more than a man with short hair for their services ! Maybe they should but to my knowledge, they don't.

Thanks for the link, Simbas but -based on my experience- this is not common practice. I could be mistaken, of course ! Really my point is, why are women with long/short hair charged a multiple of what men with long/short hair are charged for basically the same service ?
