If you are wanting more cigarettes, then be quick before they go up!!!! my wife went to Lemar in Karakum asked for 200 cigs, only to be told we can only sell you 20 (one packet), she went to the manager and questioned him, his reply was we have been told to limit people to buying cigarettes, but as he knew her he let her buy 40 (two packets)...only in North Cyprus lol.... so we then went to Starling on the Bellapais road, she went in a purchased 400 without any problems.

So we will not be shopping in Lemar anymore !!!!!!!

Typical...they have purchased at the old price but due to the increase in YTL they are trying to make up for there loss...i wonder if the YTL went down past to what they purchsed at would they be selling at discounted prices??? i think bloody not!!!!

Just been to buy 2 cartons of cigs for wife (I do not smoke), Metran-Tatlisu, Blue Dream – Esentepe, Supreme and Tempo at Catalkoy all say only 2 packets allowed told them they are stupid I would go and spend money elsewhere and they would make profit.

Went to Economic and they sold me 2 cartons no problem.

Is it some stupid government member that is trying to limit what you buy?

Do they honestly think that you want to go to shops every other day to buy a packet or two.

If they want to stop people smoking, would be great but to just limit what you buy for your own use is a bit daft.

If they could get away with it, they'd all limit sales to two packets. That way you have to go every day to buy more. The more often you go in the shop, the more you will spend. How many customers go in for cigs only, or more to the point, come out with cigs only.
