You do not have to apply for visa beforhand, everybody gets a visa at the port of arrival.

Tracey Msg 1 -A Sri Lankan citizen can get a tourist visa on arrival but I'm not sure how many days will be allowed.

Arina Msg 2 - Sorry but you are wrong - currently passport holders from both Nigeria and Armenia have to apply for visa's to the TRNC before arrival.

This may be more complicated!

Firstly aruzhan is basically correct (except Albanians and Nigerians need a visa before arrival). Also, TRNC has no embassies so it is impossible to get a visa in advance. BUT......

The passenger may need to get a visa at Istanbul - only if they travel all the way on TA can they check their baggage through to Ercan and use the transit gate at Istanbul. So if not travelling TA you must check the visa requirements in Turkey - not all nationalities can buy a visa at the airport. BUT.......

If coming all the way onTurkish Airlines be aware that they do not know the rules. My Thai friend was refused boarding at Bangkok because she didn't have a TRNC visa even though I had previously checked with Immigration here and been assured a visa was not necessary. I phoned TA Head Office and they told me she did need a visa - so it wasn't just some misinformed check-in operator. So be warned - you must check what TA believe as well as the truth from Immigration
