TODAY: the Alsancak Belediye moved us to another street..!

It happened today. Around noon, near our house, we discovered a metal pole plus a sign (blue, streetname - unknown to us) thrown down from a truck. We feared that the Alsancak Belediye was planning to rename our street and yes, when we came back three hours later - we are now living in another street! Probably something to do with the census. Thanks, Alsancak Belediye, for letting us (not) know..!

P.S. Our mail will now probably be returned by the Alsancak Post office to Holland: "Family unknown on the given address"...

P.P.S. We used to live in a little street with the highly respectable name Ecevit Cad. Now we live in Lazmarin Sokak, which must mean something. But I don't know yet what...

Count yourself lucky,in the last week I have lived down Istiklal Caddessi,Bulut Sokak and now Narli Sokak and I haven't moved an inch

Oh and our house has changed numbers from 11 to 8 )

Last time they were doing this they did not even bother to erect the road names I recall seeing a posting on here saying they had thrown/dumped them all !



They just love to do a job 2/3 times over,its keeps everyone employed
