I think you will find the 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th November are holidays.

The Bayram is from the 6th to the 9th. The 10th is not a holiday, although it is the anniversary of Ataturk's death, and there will be commemorations throughout the TRNC.

It is Kurban Bayram (kurban means sacrifice) when the goats are slaughtered and the meat or cash is given to the poor.

I don't think it affects too many people - supermarkets / restaurants / petrol stations etc stay open - I think it just mainly affects the public offices (belediye / tapu offices etc).
