hi have lived here for 6 years never seen a kingfisher yet one just arrived on my outside coffee table took a picture looked it up and yes it is.just wondered if anyone else had

Hi Jessy, yes we have plenty, most you will find along the coast in rocky areas.

Seen only 1 in six years, it was at the old harbour on the rocks side of the sea.

Saw one diving near us in the sea from the rocks at Mare Monte earlier in the year. Did not think they fished in the sea until I saw it.

Took a picture of one sitting on the rocks by the sea watching the small fry earlier this month could not believe it was really a King Fisher. Till we got back to the UK and checked it out.

We had one at Rita on the Rocks (now Silver Rocks) used to fly from one side of the small bay to the other drove my 2 dogs mad. Whether or not it was the same one but came every year for about 5/6 years, very beautiful bird.

Go to Bogaz harbour if you want to see a kingfisher or two.

Lots in the Karpaz, saw several with the Tractor Safari!! Also at several small beaches, so beautiful. Watched one catching several fish. We sat frozen to the spot.

We have seen a few in the garden and just tonight one down by the sea when walking the dogs.
