What an incredible man, I remember in the very early 70's going to visit my Gran on a Saturday afternoon and we had to sit quietly while she watched the wrestling with Jimmy and Mick McManus. Happy times. RIP.

So...we all had a little dream that we wanted Jim to fix....what was yours...mine was to jump out of an airplane....and spend a night in Warwick castle where no room was out of bounds!

RIP Jimmy you worked hard all your life for others...

Very few people could say that about themselves, we could see the joy you gave in giving.

An unselfish man.

aGREE THAT Our Jimmy was a great gift to the British nation and did so much for so many people. A 'saint' of his day. People such as he come only in ones, and doubt he will be replaced in our lifetime.

And yes, I had a wish - for him to let me sing a duet with Placido a Domingo. Guess some of you won't know who he is - he is still singing into his 70's but as a young man was a handsome, sexy so and so, and I would think it would be impossible to sing a romantic duet with him without quivering knees and vocal cords.

so RIP our Jimmy, maybe now you can do a bit of fixing up there!
