Do we turn them back tonight in line with the UK or are we delaying by a day again this time? Can remember if it was March or last October but I remember the time change being delayed to make it easier for the University students - so they wouldn't get mixed up with their exams!!!

Cyprus Today did say that at 4am (on this Sunday, 30th Oct), the clocks should be put back to 3am - this would keep us in synchronisation with the UK, who put the clocks back to 1am at 2am (if you see what I mean ), as we are 2 hrs ahead of UK time.

Possibly carried over from the time of the British occupation of Cyprus, like the 'proper' voltage electricity, 13amp sockets, and driving on the 'right' (left ) side of the road.

Not to mention the excellent laws relating to house purchase etc...

They used to put the clocks back two weeks later here - didnt half make life complicated if the changes happened during to visit here! - maybe that was why they changed though I think they said it was to be in line with Europe?!

Msg 7 - It might seem so but it was set up to help farmers and kids on their way to school It stopped many fatalities when children actually walked to school (maybe you remember?).
