Take a left at the boarder with the race track on your right, follow this road till you come to a set of trafic lights, turn left over the bridge, go to the end of the one way system you will see Savas the bomb thrower on a roundabout, turn left and the hight commition is down this road on the left.

Hope this is of some help.

I think that the directions that you have been given are incorrect.

Follow the directions as given but BEFORE you reach the traffic lights, turn left into IROON Avenue (if you pass Astra car hire on the left, you have gone too far). Then follow the road until you reach the fork in the road. Take the right fork and carry on until you see the sign for the car park. If you reach the security chicane you have gone too far.

See attached map

What do you think the COUNCIL should do? And what do you think the High Commission should do? (In the North that is).

Stay open more than a couple of hours for two days a week would be a start.

Process passports.

And in case you hadn't noticed the High Commission is not in the north.

Why would the British Council deal with Passports?

BHC was in the North the last time I visited Shakespeare Avenue!

Are you getting confused ?

Fiendishpaul. You will see if you have traveled this route it will bring you out at the same place, the central prison. not that I have had the pleasure.

I used to work on the Greek side many moons ago for the BHC and this is the route we took from our house in Kakopetria.

Sorry.

Newscoop - I dont think any High Commission processes passports now, they all go to their nearest central take up point (here its Madrid) then go to UK for the actual passport - they are sent on here from UK. So dont blame the folks here, its not their fault you have to send out for passports now (unless one is stolen and then they can help)

I stand corrected

Just felt that if coming from Metehan, my route was a bit more direct. I travel it pretty much daily ;-)
