if electric is already installed you must only require a meter , which kibtek will install .

We dealt direct with Kibtek, the builder never came into it.

But, having said the above, I'm sure I read on this board some time ago that someone had a builder who had influence, and Kibtek refused to do anything without his say-so.

recently got a house off builders/ temporary rate quoted 4 to 5k final was 9k but plans etc had to be drawn up. A cow shed was converted in 1980 with no plans.

Kib tek side was the cheapest. They required site plan, electrical report, used Ertan 05338609260 to finalised the case after 2 years and he had it through within 2 months and did the majority of the running around. All I had to do was wait for a phone call which advised me the cost which did not change!

remember to check your contract your probably liable for any costs incurred by developer in bringing electric cable to your development.

non payment will result in builder refusing to transfer of title deeds, which he is legally entitled to do as you are in breech of contract.

much better to talk to builder and get him to justify his costs, comparing with other sites and negiotating a figure you can both agree on.

for comparison we paid £1750 each times 24 flats which are opposite Tanners Restaurant, this entailed digging up the road and running a new cable all the way from the main road all the way down to the sea and building of transformer, the work took about 4 weeks to complete. I consider this sum reasonable.

ps..next time your sitting in Tanners enyoying the fact the electricity supply has so much improved raise a glass to me and my neighbours we paid for the entire area upgrade.
