Three times in less than a week, someone has thrown poisoned meat into the KAR Arapkoy Animal Rescue Centre during the night. It is the intention of the KAR committee to offer a £500 reward for information leading to the prosecution of the culprit. KAR is asking for a pledge of £10 from you as a friend of KAR. No money will be collected until and if, the reward is paid out. All we ask for at the moment is a pledge of £10. Please help us to catch these killers. Lesley

Hi dodger It is really hard to understand. I think the psychological term for it is displacement. The perpertrator is someone who is likley to be in extreme pain and looks for a soft target to unconsciously release those anxieties. A milder form would be someone hitting a cushion when they are angry with a friend or relative. Unfortunately in this case they are targeting a defenceless animal.

Hi Guys Thank you for the response regarding the this awful issue, I think the pledge means that if they catch the people that are involved in the crime of the poisoning the dogs then they will ask for the money but if they are not caught then I don't think they want anyone to pay but I have sent an email to the guys to find out more. Why they are doing this to the poor animals I will never know as they are way up im the mountains and don't disturb anyone with barking or so on all they look forward to is the walks that people take them on when visiting. While my husband and I was out there in Sept. we had the pleasure of going up to the rescue and walk quite a few of the dogs, they are all so adorable all they want is a little love. Now also apart from this if anyone would like to make a donation anyway you can visit the web site where you will find a button where you can make a donation every thing counts no matter how large or small. This is their link http://www.kyreniaanimalrescue.org/#DONATE
