Just had a quote for fly screens in my apartment... Quote worked out just under half of what it does in the summer because of the time of year.

Using Mr Fly as seen in Cyprus Today - advert says with upto 50% off.

We had Dogpen.

They did an excellent job.......... at a good price.

They arrived on time........ (first time I ever experienced this in TRNC) to give us a quotation.

They arrived on time to do the work!!!!!!!

The work was inspected by the Director, who got the workers to make a couple of minor changes because he thought some windows could be better protected.

Can't recommend them highly enough.

Hi just had mine done, three sliding windows approx 3ftx 2ft ( 2 sliding windows but the fly screen is only covering one) one bathroom window fixed screen from outside, the window is a drop window which opens inward, and one screen on the patio doors, again there are two sliding panels on the door but you only need the screen fitted to one side. Total cost was £290. English guy, Mark Jehan he can be contacted on cyprusjehan@yahoo.co.uk or phone him on 05333699, can recommend his work, done when he said at the price he said. Very happy and fly free.

Bradus,

Ours were installed by Mr Fly (John), and he said that sandflies are so small, that if the mesh were fine enough to exclude them, it would keep out most of the light as well!

Also, they have to leave small drain holes at the bottom - although I suppose they could always put a bit of mesh over them as well, if it comes to it.

I have found that for bedrooms, a brief spray an hour before bedtime, including the bedclothes and flyscreens works fine in conjunction with the flyscreens themselves.

For living rooms and kitchens of course there is no absolute answer as you get people going in and out, and you have to open the fly screen to get through it - unless you're a sandfly!

Keith.

Hi could also confirm that Mark Jehan who can be contacted on cyprusjehan@yahoo.co.uk or phone him on 05333699 does an excellent job

he did all the windows on our apartment in Ozankoy. My husband bit of a

perfectionist who worked in the building industry was very pleased with his work, so think maybe it was a good standard.

Lozzo thanks for spotting that, not very helpful if we give wrong numbers but

I copied mine from the post above, as all my documentation is over there.

Good spot
