If you are running on bottled gas I would get a competant gas fitter to check your regulator and check your cooker.Dont mess with it yourself or you could end up with abig bang...

Msg 1/2 There is no other gas here but bottled. Have you tried lighting it? Finding a competent gas engineer here may be difficult. seriously though, try checking the valve on the bottle is fully open. And is there gas in the bottle. back to basics often works Hope this Helps

i was told by someone who use to work for british gas ( i know nothing to do with things here) that bottled gas burns hotter then mains gas so maybe its the regulator that needs changing or just the jets need a good cleaning out or even just a kink in the gas pipe slowing down the flow

You're lucky to have a gas oven, I'd much prefer it to electricity and yes, as Msg. 4 says bottled gas heats up quicker and burns hotter than mains gas does.

It's all dependent whats in the bottle, take a look at colorific values of methane, ethane, propane and butane. Plus they all need the right amount of oxygen of course. This is why plumbers use propane for soldering. Mains gas in the UK tends to me mainly methane, bottled gas in the UK usually c high percenatge of propne or butane, much higher CV.
