Smithy, if you click on the "monexchange' advert bar above your request you can access the rates - it's showing buy: 2.800, sell: 2.840 today.

pipie just because you go into an exchange bureau it does not mean you know the market exchange rate you may know their rate,,,anyway cant see how this thread helps as I said its second hand info .....there are so many variables on exchange rates...

ed why did you log on? your post was a waste of time, as I said there are several exchange rates and different

margins I was merely recommending that people do their own research on appropriate web sites rather than rely on second hand info, if you dont need the advice dont take it if you know better ;)

rocky I understand what you are saying. However if someone needs to know an exchange rate then it makes sense to ask I can see no problem with that, after all i thought this what this board is for.

I know someone who regularly drives from Alsancak to Girne for the sole purpose of gaining a minimal advantage in exchange rates but fails to take heed of the overall loss incurred by way of the expensive, unnecessary, journey, apart from any element of danger involved !
