Just watching the programme . It is unbelievable. 580 jobs which include hairdressing and bread making are considered hazardous. You can retire at 54 and pick up 90% of your pension. A bus driver can pick up an extra 35k in bonus per year. Checking customer tickets can earn a bonus.

With a bit of luck the drachma will return and accellerate the downfall of a certain countries yen to dominate europe. It was ludicrous to think that Greeks could live on the same scale and to the same standard as the Germans,Dutch,French and British overnight on 50% less wages ,and they have done exactly the same as the rest of the countries under threat, taken the massive handouts spent and wasted it and now ask for more.Abottomless pit.

You can see why the Greeks joined the Euro. Prior to them joining they could only borrow money at 12%. On joining the Euro they could borrow at 2% which was the same rate as Germany. So with this lower rate they borrowed heavily, but instead of using this money to build infrastructure and a base for the future the politicians used this extra money to buy off the people by increasing their wages and pensions.

As with all these things, i believe its not the Greeks to blame here...they ask and its given...we would all like to do that...the people that are to be blamed are those that keep handing out the money without question and to whose expence? the IMF and the EU should have there own people placed in the governments of each of the countries that they are going to accept into the EU and adopt the Euro...by doing this they will be able to understand the financial situation of the given country, if they feel that the countries government is witholding information, its quite simple...they dont get in.... The very same is happening in the UK, foreigners come put there hands out and its filled without to much question, though mark my words we return to our own country and ask for help it will be a big fat zero as you have not paid your stamp for the last i dont know how many years...fair???? Nooooo Never mind the sun is shining and we have our health, have a good day all

The program highlighted unbelievable practices,a bus driver who could double his wages simply by turning up for work early to check passengers tickets. A hairdresser who could retire at 55, on 90% of existing wages pension ,because it was classed as a risky job. Top surgeons who take 50% of fees in cash to avoid paying tax. It's not suprising that the bubble had to burst and the country left in crisis. All this going on whilst the un-elected euro MP's dither in the sidelines unable to decide on a lasting solution, and now it appears Italy is going down the same route. Perhaps the end of the euro is nearing

msge 7 You are not very complimentary about the Greeks......"they ask and it is given".....minors ask and are given and without parental guidance they spend badly. We know that children want to spend their money on sweeties, and we protest because it will rot their teeth. You are right it was irresponsible for the rest of Europe to allow Greece in to the sweet shop, but surely people expected more from a country who birthed democracy and gave us some of the greatest thinkers ever. The Greeks have to take a substantial proportion of the blame. Its only when we face the facts can we grow up. You have a good day too
