Is the Supermarket named on the Auction notice. Sale date 13th November 2011. Is it on Kocans 24442 and 2443. Used to be called Fatisa. Fatisa Construction Limited named on the notice I hope not, I liked Bektas/. 2,317,000 mentioned. not much more than the 2,077,000 debt the 250% followed by 80% debt accrued on K5. Oh dear, sign of things to come maybe??

Chris just went to get bread from Bektas Karaoglanoglu, said windows covered in newspaper and shop closed. A delivery driver outside shrugged his shoulder when asked what was wrong. A huge coincidence if not the same supermarket at named on the Auction notice since it was formerly called Fatisa.

Some of the staff in there said last week that it was closing down due to money problems, they were quite upset that they were to be put out of work. A great pity because it was a good, well priced place to shop.

Yes I agree, Hattikins. And we always found a few things in Bektas that the others didn't have. How long has it lasted 18months - 2years?

It appears that the owners who I think must have been Fatisa (having financial problems) were looking to double the rent or sell the property to Bektas but he was having non of it,shame it was a good supermarket and the staff were very helpfull and the girls on the tills always smiling.

Well if he can raise, 2,317,001 lira, he could buy it outright, no more rent. If I am reading it correctly that is. It is sad, I agree with everything you say King Neptune (your majesty) Auction 17th Nov. coffee shop opposite the court.

Don't know how true it is but was told that the large supermarket on the left approaching Ercan airport (don't know the name) is taking over from Bektas.

Well, I do hope they know about the Auction scheduled for the 13th November, unless of course the debt has been settled and it has been cancelled. Large debt. Dosya: MES-34/10

Msg. 9 It would be great if the Large Supermarket near Ercan did take over the Karaoglanoglu Bektas because friends of mine who have been there said that you can get what you would buy down south i.e. lots of cheeses and salamis etc and save yourself a journey. Have yet to go myself though. Hope they don't move the "hole in the wall bank" from Bektas, it came in very useful, particularly for withdrawing £'s.

Still have to feel sorry for the poor chap who allegedly rented it, he must have thought it worthwhile to invest so heavily, I hope he hasn't made too great a loss. Moral of the story here, if you start a business, buy your own property, at least then you wont have the spectre of huge rental increases eating into your profit. Of course the second moral, if you own the property, for goodness sake dont mortgage it too!!!!
