Does anyone know where I can purchase smoke alarms and carbon monoxide testing strips here in the North? I would prefer not to have to go South if possible!

Many thanks for help.

Sally,

Would you know that it is recommended that you have a Audio Warning Carbon Monoxide Detector rather than a strip that changes colour?

Co2 poisoning can be fatal and a strip cannot warn you of any Co2 gas hazards.

Hope you don't mind my comment?

Don`t forget detector strips only last foe 12 months after being activated, once activated by an event , thats it.far better to buy a monoxide detector that shows activity on the alarm,so that if you are out it shows the latest reading,

far bettter to get your gas fire serviced annually,

coal, gas, and wood all produce carbon monoxide gases.

symtoms,, headaches, short term memory loss, joint ache, flu like symtoms that clear up in fresh air

Late response - sorry - I have found Asda and Wilkinson stores reasonable prices.
