Like lots of people i am thinking of changing from a local ISP to 3G, or at least i was. Today at home i downloaded a relatively small file on to real player it took about 65 seconds. One hour later i attempted the same download on a friends laptop on the Lapta strip using Telsim 3G, TWO PINTS LATER THE BLOODY THING GAVE GAVE UP! at that point (roughly 15 minutes) it had only downloaded about 42% of the file. Question; was this because of the age of the laptop (6yo) or the lack of bandwidth available at the time. (13:30hrs) Is this sad state of affairs the norm for Telsim or does it also apply to Turkcell?

I've been thinking of getting 3G for internet access for the next time we visit rather than have to go to an internet cafe. I'd be interested to know whether it works and whether it's value for money.
