In another thread ( http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/78192.asp) the notion of "upper class areas" was mentioned. Anyone care to discuss what would be the definition of such an area within the environmental context of NC? Perhaps starting with what "upper class" means...

I think that members of the TRNC upper class would find this question too vulgar to answer... so I won't!! ha! ha!

The real question for me, when I hear that the world is a now a classless society, is are we all now at one standard, high class, middle class, or low class rabble ? Judging by the level of truancy in many schools perhaps they are leading the way in becoming "class"less !

As a resident of Karaman, it's a bit unfair to say that we look down on everyone, except if you mean that we are high up the mountain. I am trying to think nicely here!!!!

What if one was to simply interpret "upper class areas" as one way of describing a location where there is less run-down properties, tidier streets, considerate and socially adept neighbours, perhaps also a reasonable distance from such services as those that name their establishment in more subtle ways compared to those choosing such names as "4play"...

Millionares Row , in Lapta Baspinar. ( well that's the locals say). Yes we we do look down on everyone. (But in the nicest possible way) about 800 ft above sea level.
