| Thanks DD an interesting read. What i do notice with dogs is that some of them behave better with either a man or a woman. They seem to decide which they like better. The trouble is here in the TRNC the dog culture is quite different. Your dog is always at risk when off the lead, and nowhere is safe from the chance of poison. I think this puts owner on edge to start off with. Hence the dog feels the vibe. Very few restaurants and bars allow dogs to go in, or even sit outside with their owners. In the UK to walk the dog, sit outside a cafe or pub with them and have a coffee or beer is normal. Here its not part of the culture. So many dogs i see have trouble with even the basics of walking on a lead properly, which is down to lack of training but also lack of places to go out to. |
