It is just being reported that another quake has hit van in turkey



An earthquake of 5.7 magnitude has rocked eastern Turkey, bringing down buildings including a six-storey hotel, Turkish media report.



TRT Haber news channel said at least 18 buildings had collapsed in Van city, trapping dozens of people.



Last month, more than 600 people were killed by a 7.2 earthquake in Van province.



Ambulances rushed to the collapsed hotel, the private NTV television station reported.



Television pictures showed residents and rescuers trying to lift debris to free people believed to be trapped under the hotel.



The hotel was mostly occupied by journalists and teams from the Turkish Red Crescent,

The quake struck at 21:23 (19:23 GMT), with its epicentre at Edremit, about 15km (nine miles) from Van city.
