Although not in Catalkoy you will not be disappointed with the Buffavento restaurant that is a short drive away.

We used to love the restaurant at Buffavento but when we went in the summer, we were very disappointed.

Sultan's on the main road do an excellent meze but it cost 40tl in the summer.

Anı is always very busy when I pass it so it must be good. But when I called in to check menu/price, there's no menu (not a problem - meze and fish main course) but it was quite pricey.

From the Lodge, turn right on the main road towards Esentepe. At the sign for Çatalköy and the Malpas Hotel turn right. Follow the road straight up the hill, past the children's nursery and Anı's is on the corner on the right just before you turn the bend to descend the hill.

Best bet, go to Alesta (almost opposite Lemar in Karakum) and order a range of starters. Make up your own meze, it's the only way you'll get one at a decent price around here!

agree with crofter , meze in buffavento really takes some eating , you do not need any thing else ,tops .

Agree with Deniz1 Valley View does an amazing meze. 22 dishes and a main when we went. We were advised to have 1 meze between two people.

Also have to agree with Spud50 last time we went, Buffavento was so disappointing and they rushed us through very quickly as they clearly wanted the table.
