Is it against the board rules, to respond to a member who has called me wynd (in a derogatory manner) as firefarter instead of firestarter?



IZZET WE NEED CLARIFICATION, IF WE ARE TO ABIDE BY BOARD RULES.

I indulged in light hearted banter with other board members. Whats that got to do with not giving the new moderators a chance? For heavens sake!!! Pike consistently broke at least 2 board rules, and and was grossly and personally offensive. What he said had no basis in fact.

The one word I haven’t seen anyone use yet is Respect. Why can’t everyone just respect other people’s posts? Let people express their opinions and don’t try and judge people by their opinions. When having a discussion on any BB it is never a good idea to ask others to come to your aid.... If you are losing the argument do not entreaty others to join your cadre to try and outflank the opponent... it seldom works and only makes the subject of the attack feel that a he/she is being set upon by an unruly mob or an organised attempt to stifle their opinion...



If your arguments hold water they will stand the test of reasoned argument without asking others or moderators to come to your aid...



I ask others if they have an opinion where I have not formed one but I don't ask anyone to be "on my side..." they either are or they are not and they can make their own minds up.



I find this "Please sir, he called me a name" all a bit needy... and pathetic.



Especially when name-calling is not beyond their own gamut...

Over the last 6 months its become very clear that some of the long standing members have slowly disappeared, people with something of substance and quality to say, people with respect for others, people that have values and purpose.

I was one moderator that wanted to remain hidden so that I could still post what I wanted to post within the BB rules but (and as I have predicted) being a Mod now does not appear to allow me that freedom. But that won't stop me. If you have an issue with me being a mod then take it up with Izzet and don't try to start a slanging match on this BB.

I'm sure that AJ would be moderated for breaking forum rules, just the same as anyone else, I know I would edit or delete any post that was abusive, no matter who posted it.

With all due respect Wyn, I think you have lost your way. I am well aware of the problems you are having with your property but you have a lot more to offer this board than the rhetoric that you have been posting of late. Do you remember what this board is about? A man of your intelligence (and I have seen a lot of your earlier postings) is more than capable of providing information for those that are new to this board. You are starting to drag other posters down. Seeing what you have posted in the past I would hate to see you fall foul of the moderators now and believe me the mods on this board are a lot more tolerant than most other boards.

Well to all those that appear to be wound up over my postings then all I can say is I am just about to go out for a meal with my lovely wife and a group of very close friends.
