Help needed - flipping Nilesat again!

I am sure you all sick of reading these posts but I do need a little help here........ We tried to retune our Nilesat to the new frequencies just to get MBC and other channels which we had lost and now we have n a d a!



I would normally have telephoned Mohammed but I understand that he has returned home so now do not know who to contact to sort the problem.



Really do not understand what we did wrong but hubbie is frantic at not being able to watch the news in the mornings so need to get problem fixed pronto.

You should have MBC but there are now only about 250 channels on Nilesat. The other 550 weren't from Nilesat, they were from Atlantic Bird 4A which was in line with the 3 Nilesat satellites. They have now swapped 4A for the new 7 and 7 doesn't cover Cyprus - at least not on a standard 80cm dish.

John, I think I have found the new frequencies - can you confirm 12437 and H27500? Going to keep trying until either I get some channels or the box blows up!

If you look at the attached link you will see every station on the 3 Nilesats and Atlantic Bird 7 together with all their frequencies. I hope this helps.

If you can't find anyone by tomorrow I could come and look myself but I am busy today. I am no expert but I manage my own OK.

756 channels on my free view box at least 25 in English thanks to the nice young man at acip-satellite-shop on 0533 840 22 07

John, I really cannot do it. I have tried 3 people now to come and fix it including the one above, none can come for at least a week (wonder why?). I would be happy if you would consider coming round to us and trying to do it. Could not possibly be worse than us, we are losing our tempers now with it!

Susan, we are also in Karsiyaka and each time we have a problem because of Nilesat changing frequencies or satalites we always ring Acip.

As Fozzylad said he gives excellent service and he only charges us 50TL. He's probably busy because of the holiday but he will come out to you - 0533 840 22 07

Success, someone from M Akguney came from Alsancak and fixed the wretched thing in 15 minutes He only charged us 40tl. Bless Him. Hubby is happy again now.



Just a pointer though, he told us our box was rubbish (Next) - we are going to bring our freeview box from our apartment in Girne and get him back again to rig that up.
