I think you will find that only the petrol station opposite the Colony Hotel will have kerosine. Let's know when you find some.

Wherever you buy it from - don't forget you need to take a container with you! small plastic petrol cans can be found in the car accessory shop at the end of Tin Pan Ally.

Soydan is situated on the seaside of the main road in Karakum & have always had paraffin available for the last few years. This is where we buy our's from.

I agree that not every petrol station has a paraffin pump, but far more do now than in the past when it was only available at a minority of petrol stations.

I have bought it from both K-pet on Karakum road opposite Mermaid fabrics and also Alpet in Catalkoy.

I have been told in the past to get a sample from each and buy the clearest one, apparently if it is more yellowish in colour it is not so good, can anyone verify that?

Just in case you are expecting to find the paraffin pump in the same area as the petrol/disel pumps at Soydan, it is not. Assuming you are coming from Girne direction & drive in through the first entrance, the paraffin pump is on the LH side of the petrol station on its own.

It is quite common to find the paraffin pumps away from the others & maybe this is why some don't realise that paraffin is stocked.

I do hope they have some now because it is not normally needed so early in the winter. They are certainly displaying a price for it. 2.38 per litre I think, so virtually the same as it was last February.
