| Can anyone tell me the procedure for renewing an MOT and Emissions test on my car as due shortly as first time having to do it, thanks |

| Get your emissions test done within one week of your test
Take this with all yor car documents to the tax office behind the general hospital within your two week window and pay 100tl,take yor receipt and log book to the police mot garage. make sure the car is clean including the engine compartment |

| 1. You must do the MOT within the published timescale for your registration - do it outside this and the cost goes up.
2. Go to an approved garage and get your Emissiona Test - this must be done no more than 5 days before the MOT.
3. Go the tax office with the Emissions Test certificate, the old MOT and the Car Registration.
4. At the tax office you will pay the fee and receive a docket for the police.
5. Make sure the car is reasonably clean and this includes the engine bay.
6. Go to the MOT bay at the rear of Girne police station and get yout MOT.
7. Both the MOT and Emissions Test are valid for about 3 years (until the next published date for your registration). |

| Make sure you wash the care too but not to worry about the inside 
Thats they only time ours gets a wash

| Though the MOT inspector has no problem with badly adjusted lights that blind, oncoming drivers, they have a mania about cars having mudflaps fitted. So, make sure that your vehicle has some. Even if they are temporary. |
