Bought an infant Olive from there this week - not sure if that's what you are after

Plus they have reductions on all other plants and pots

not sure about them closing down they were buying new stock this week from the garden centre next to my shop. Berty try them they have loads of plants and it seems to be the place where the other garden centres go to buy their stock. Opposite Capitano restaurant on the main Alsancak road next to Bridal and Ballgown.

Teresa,

I think you may be a little confused - Bahceli is the one between the 'Elektrokur' roundabout and the new roundabout that they are building - towards where Extend used to be.

They are closing down, - a problem with planning permission I think, but couldn't swear to it - sttill some bargains left when I was in there a few days ago!

Keith.

There used to be a chap who would relocated displaced olive trees to people who would give them a good home (believe it was called the olive tree project) but have not heard of him for a while, also believe he charged about £250

Keith i am 100% sure it was them because of the sign written van but maybe they were just buying to do somebodys garden who knows.

The olive tree project is no longer running as the man had to go back to UK but even buying a young tree they will soon grow, i have got 4 in my garden that i planted 2 years ago and they are all doing well.

Bahceli Garden Centre was closing the old outlet due to not being able to access the plot of land any longer... they used to go over a strip of land belonging to somebody else...

I'm not sure quite where the new Garden Centre is think it might be Alsancak way... the lady was quite annoyed when I said i'd heard she was off to Canada which was the rumour....

Berty,

Do you have a pool? If so think very carefully on the position of trees etc. with regards to leaves falling and the direction of the winter winds.. it can become a real problem if you are not careful...

The man who ran the Olive Tree Project had to do a runner as he was suspected of not paying all taxes due and of taking trees which were not his to take.... I seem to remember and I apologise without reservation should this not be the case and I am proven to have had "false memory syndrome"...

I remember that Burhans (the furniture shop) had info regarding relocating Olive tree's next time you're around that area, ask Dilek ( a very nice lady) if she has any info, I think it was her brother that had something to do with saving the tree's.

The site of the olive trees that were looking for good homes used to be off the old road to Lefkosa, once down the big hill heading towards Lefkosa, turn right by the petrol, station and ask, its around there somewhere.
