Does anyone know where I can buy porridge oats near Kyrenia. I brought a supply with me and now running low - I am a health nut so this is important to me. Any comments about me not getting my oats have already been suggested!

Use the Lifalif and save yourself a small fortune... as Maddog says they can be bought in most shops and they are generally much cheaper than the usual UK named brands.

One in Girne - you must be turkish or married to one - have done your army service (men only) and have card to prove this - so I'm told. Also not be wearning a head scarf!!! Not allowed there.

But one in Camlibel is bit more relaxed, TCs, Turks all go and never seen anyone ask for ID cards - first left turn on right after speed bump as you go into village - closed 1 - 2.30 everyday for lunch. Open 7 days week, not tons there but what is there is cheaper as no tax.

Thanks Treesy, I am neither TC or plan to marry a TC so guess that means I'll be shopping at the supermarket or the municipal market on Wednesday mornings
