A reminder for those who attended last week and an invite to those who would like to come, you are all welcome. We are holding our 2nd meeting tomorrow Monday 21st at 4pm at the studio. We have every facility including recording facilities for those who always fancied their own "CD" singing or playing their favourite songs (or own songs). We had a great time last week which was not only quite productive in helping each other with different styles of music but a great social event. For more info please e mail me on bizarre.guitar@yahoo.co.uk . regards Barry

A big thanks to all who came ! Another great row but we're getting there ! We have now progressed from the "Mary Hopkin's Tribute band" to a cross between the Eagles and Bryan Adams with a 5 string guitar ! We still need a Bass player and a keyboard player would be nice and we have a really great Korg Keyboard waiting in the Studio ! Thanks again everyone see ya next Monday regards Barry bizarre.guitar@yahoo.co.uk

Hi Barry... "A cross between the Eagles and Brian Adams"....That would be the EDAMS, sounds a bit Cheesy,we will have to think of a better name ...

Watcha Rob ! I did think of the mixture of names at the workshop but kept getting back to "Arab Nobs" ! dont think that would be too helpful. Regards Barry

Gavin

I am sure it will continue into 2012 but there are a few other things musical that go on so give Barry or me an e-mail when you are out and we should be able to tell you what is going on.

Watcha Arock message 6 ! (thanks AJ) Looked at your profile ! cant make out your guitar but looks like either a fender strat or presision bass ! looking at the "knobs" it resembles a bass which could be very useful to us ! The Trnc is very short of "GOOD" bass players ! However, please keep in touch as i hope the band workshop is a continual thing as we have a great bunch of people already experiencing a massive move forward in performing and playing skills. Apart from that its great fun and held in a fully equipped studio ! Kind regards Barry

Watcha Gavin ! Look forward to meeting you ! Your place in "arab nobs" is firmly reserved although someone else has suggested "Snakes and ladders" ! Rob not sure how to take that one !!!!! AJ have emailed you

Sorry to detract from your thread chaps, but Gavin (Arockingace), has anyone ever told you that you look like Greg Wallace from Masterchef (only a million times better looking, of course)

I'll get me coat.

Jeannie can your smiley faces help us find a drummer and bass player ? I wont even bother with keyboards thats a joke here (apart from the "on mother kelly's doorstep" brigade) so often seen in our bars and places ! However, we do have some really great people attending our "get together" workshop or whatever we want to call it and that makes it all worthwhile ! Meanwhile, other things have come from this venture and all i can say is a well known TRNC saying ! Watch this space ! I am determined to give the "ex pat retired music critic society" something to moan about Ha ha regards Barry
