Are you saying posts in that thread have been deleted, I haven't noticed them or are you talking about the posts mentioned in that thread about which as I have said already that I am not able to give you the answer as it wasn't me.



Thus far I have emailed those who I have moderated which is very few but it makes the job time consuming so I quite understand any of my fellow mods who chose not to.

The deleted post which prompted me to start the thread "Deleted Posts" is described in the other thread, in my opinion it was not offensive, I did not make any derogatory remarks about the establishment , it was an off the cuff remark made on a bb, not slanderous or offensive.

The remarks made on the subsequent posts were not offensive either and I merely asked for an explanation as to why the original post and following threads were removed, I was advised by Izzet to read the board rules and think for a minute, I did but still fail to see why the posts were removed and still have not had a full explanation. Moderation is fine but censorship is not.

i call, deleting a post that does not really serve a positive purpose, "moderation" and not "censorship". it's my view.



i think if some members stop discussing moderation issues heavily, i think we'll all enjoy the forum more

I have to agree with Izzet here. This Moderation thing is going round and round. I'm sure there are some people who would like a situation where we have Moderators moderating the Moderators!

Why doesn't everyone become a Moderator and moderate their own posts before posting. That way we'll not have to worry about the Moderators moderating any of our posts.

Actually hattikins I'm in Lancaster UK - its about minus 4 deg and just starting to snow! Off to N Cyprus on Saturday to enjoy some of that sun!

Anyway I should actually be packing for my trip but this board is rather addictive! (and I was cross that you got deleted for calling 'you know who' a 'you know what')

I'm sure I was the first to actually give him that 'pet name' but my posts so far haven't been deleted.........watch this space!
