Has anyone had a self cert mortgage in the trnc, can you get self cert on a 50% mortgage, what evidence is required.

er... if ıt,s self certifacted, you need no evidence. The mortgages you are talking about are actually loans from the builder. As a foreıgner, the hoops you have to jump through to get a mortgage from a bank are generally considered far too onerous.

Getting a loan from a builder who offers this service is not a problem regardless of age or circumstances but don,t pay for a couple of months and you will be removed...

I have always used self certs in the uk, but since the recession they have stopped them here, they are perfect for someone like myself. Sorry what i mean is when you get a mortgage in the trnc are they as strict as the uk, or can you blag it to a certain degree, i would never get involved with a development or builders loan, only resale or self build which would be for cash.

I do not think you will get a mortgage as you are not Cypriot, the banks only really lend to Civil Servants anyway as their incomes are supposed to be secure.
