"Now with Smart Players its easier to watch your favourite British programs on your TV. SMART PLAYERS only 399 TL at TECHMAR! Ask for a demonstration" If you have MultiMax I am not sure why you would need to pay another 300tl to watch your favourite British programs. Because, Multimax has a built in VPN for ITV and BBC tv programs, which you can watch live or on catch up using the TV Players available.

BTW MultiMax please install vpm for Channel4.com I love Deal or NoDeal.

Julia:

With a smart player, you connect one end to your internet router and the other to your TV so that you don't need to keep disconnecting your laptop. Plus, you can use the laptop on C44 while watching UKTV.

Hi

Juliamoons and Donaldson

Just as Donaldson says, I agree.. Although you only need to connect the smart player to the TV as the player has built in wifi so no extra cables needed.

Although the iplayer does have a few problems playing on the smart player as it is android based.

We are hoping bbc will bring out a better app for the android based devices in the near future.

You must also consider that the smart player has alot more tricks up its sleeve, such as playing full HD blueray movies (1080p) off your external HDD, checking emails, browsing the web ect. Try finding a laptop that can do that for that price.

Thanks

Yen

Hi Aruzhan, if you get a WiFi (wireless) internet connection then you don't need a telephone line. 2 Mbit speed for a year is 720 TL. 4 Mbit speed is 960 TL per year. Please note that there is no installation fee in annual subscriptions.

On YEARLY SUBSCRIPTIONS YOU ALSO GET 3 MONTHS FREE INTERNET!

Hi rocky, On weekdays we open from 10 am to 6 pm. And on Saturdays we open from 10 am to 2 pm.

We do have 2 models in stock with DVD players; a 22" (575 TL) and a 26" (750 TL)

Thank you

Derya

Also pleased to let you know that you have a trial option!

If you wanted you could try for one month and then after if you are pleased and want to carry on , you will be billed as if it were a yearly account. So you would pay 80+50 for 4 mbit a month and if you were happy and you wanted to sign on for a year, we would deduct the 80+50 from the yearly price, which is 960.

Thanks

Yen

I don't need to pay 399 for a smart player when I can connect my pc to my tv and use Tiivenni. Tiivenni has built in vpn's for all english channels. Unless this smart player does a lot more I can't see that is worth it. I can watch tv catchup using browsers.

Julia,

I am sure Yener can explain in much better all the little differences of smart player vs all other solutions.

The one major difference is that the smartplayer does NOT need a computer and has outputs that readily directly connect to a TV set.

In that sense, it works more like a satellite receiver box you would use for TV.

I have used Tiivenni myself and found that it is quite useful, however, these two products are not directly comparable.

If you are watching TV a lot and you have to keep your computer turned on just so that it will play TV on your television, smartplayer is a very good option and it basically pays for itself from reduced electricity bill.

Thanks Kemal

Yes Julia, you can indeed use your pc. But an equally functional pc these days costs around 1000 TL where is this box only costs 399 TL and not everybody has a PC!

Also connecting and disconnecting your pc to the TV may become a hassle after a while. While the box is conveniently connected to your tv ready to switch on. And so on..

Thanks

Yen

My PC is permanently connected to my TV, I have a remote keyboard and mouse and use the TV as my monitor. I can watch TV deal with my emails etc.,

But I can understand that this box would be very useful to those without a similar set up to mine.
