I am due to cross to the south on Weds and need a new annual 'sort of road tax'

form from the GC Police. Does anyone know what time the office closes during the winter? I understand from a previous post that it may be later than 2.30 on Wednesdays but would like clarification.

Thanks.

Make sure you have your english driving license which is up to date on both the paper and the photocard or they wont give it to you. Am talking from experience.

Most things close at lunch time in the south on Wednesdays. Not sure about the tax office?

So if you have lived here for one year and according to UK Law relinquished your drivers licence 'not having a UK Address and being absent from the Country for that year you are no longer eligable'. why won't they accept your Turkish one. Yes I know we lie and keep the UK one, but why can I not use my Turkish one. I hire cars in the UK on it. What would they say if told that abiding by UK law you no longer have a UK Drivers Licence only Turkish.
