"Aşk bir boktur bunu yiyen çoktur" direct translation is "Love is shit, but many people have eaten it".



It doesn't necessarily has a negative meaning.



Btw, I just noticed that my email to you bounced back from Hotmail due to some weird policy reasons it say.. weird!

"Aşk bir boktur bunu yiyen çoktur" Turkish has phrases that sound odd in direct translation just as English phrases often do...



As we don't have an exactly matching phrase I think the closest we would get to it is...



Love is/can be... tough to eat (a bitter pill to swallow) but so many do..
