Went into the pork shop last month, bought some meat and paid by card, their machine ran out of paper so it was a bit of a palaver, had to do it again, the lady cancelled the first one then redid it. I kept the receipt to check my statement. Went in there this week, the lady asked my name, then rummaged through her till where she pulled out my last payment details and said they owe us some money as the last one had gone through twice !! I know I would have eventually spotted it but I thought it was refreshing to know there are some honest people in the world, that lady has restored my faith in human nature. thank you pork shop lady !!

We had a similar problem (quite a while ago) and when we called the bank to request instructions on how to cancel, they snootily said only they can do that. We waited till the next morning to double check that 2 payments went through and then called the customer and gave her cash back.

I feel that we are so lucky to live in the TRNC and have a Pork shop selling the finest Pork and meat produce that I have ever tasted.

Always a pleasure to deal with them and the Pork Chops are enormous.

I have recently bought 2 kilo's of gammon, which has to be ordered. It cooks up beautifully either roasted or boiled. It is the second time I have purchased this from them and have been so happy as it is the only place that sells joints of gammon for home cooking.

How much does the Gammon cost ? I used to buy it in the south and cook it myself but very rarely go over there now.

I hope this particular business continues to thrive particularly throughout the Winter months as we too very much enjoy their products and the friendliness of the family running it. I never take note of the prices per kilo but for example 4 massive chops and half a kilo of plump sausages always leaves me with change from 30 TL. As said above, the bacon, gammon, and ribs are also delicious. There are pork pies and other products too, including from time to time excellent beef.

I think the gammon was 28 per kilo, Normally cured to order.

But in Summer I posted 44 regarding his Gammon, it proved so popular that he did start to stock it and I have seen it in there several times since.

But if you have to travel a fair way then here is their phone Num. 0533 841 6788
