Just a warning. Our cat has just been poisoned in Karsiyaka. We live off Ucoluklu Sokak in the village towards Monte Perle/Imperial Villas end.She came into the house staggering around with white foam around her mouth and by the time we got her to the vets (Garfields) 10 minutes away she was dead.I have looked around for any signs of poison on the road but with the amount of locals rubbish strewn around I could not find anything.I have searched the garden but found nothing as we also have two Labradors. The vet confirmed it was Linate. Please be very careful.

Are you happy for us to put this location on our Petition website. Is it in the village? So sorry to hear about your pet cat.

smwredd: The location is through Karsiyaka village (past the turning for Kozan) and the top road towards Lapta. Good luck with the petition.

Thank you to you all. This was a cat that had everything against it.We took her in as a kitten ,as thin as a rake and with no trust in humans as she had evidently been beaten with brushes/mops(she retained a fear of these through her short life. She was completely deaf ,so once we had won her trust she tended to stay very close to home, got to trust our dogs and had lately been curling up in front of the fire.We have checked the garden thoroughly and found no poison. We believe the poison must be near to our home on the road but I cannot find anything.I only wish I could find the person who has put it there.

Smwredd-please put it on the Kar website-we live behind the carpenters shop at this end of the village-it may save some poor animal from an agonising death.

I'm sooo sorry to hear of your loss. It can be devastating, they become part of the family.

Having had our dog poisoned, twice, I can imagine what it feels like. The people that put it down should be shot.

Davliz - So sorry to hear about your cat, its an awful thing to watch an animal die, let alone when its been done on purpose!!!

Teatime - absolutely agree, anyone who can knowingly harm an animal in such a way deserves nothing less than to experience the same suffering themselves. Like to see them staggering around foaming at the mouth!!!!!

Davliz - I have sent emails to KAR asking if we can have a link on their website. To date we have had no reply! I shall now phone them to see if there is any reason why we cannot do this.

As an update we have 1141 signatures this morning.
