Can anyone tell me what the interest rate is on a TL account at Iktisat bank. We are living back in the UK now but still have an account there and are thinking of transfering about £4000 from here?

good rates but remember the currency risk the TL was about 2.3 to the pound 2 or so years ago so thats a 20% negative return, it could do the same again or go the other way and you could make money. You must understand the risk. By the way is the Iktisak bank open yet oppo Lemar in Karakum?????

Thank you for your help. I do understand the risks having previously lived in North Cyprus for a number of years and changed between accounts as and when the exchange rate changed. I couldn't find any rate on the web site

Hi there if you email english@iktisatbank.com an English speaking customer representative would be able to advise you on which interest rates YOU would get, as it does depend how much capital you have invested overall and how long you wish to tie your money up for, you would also be given instructions on how to send the funds as well.

Yes the Karakum branch is open

Email or call them, they know best....!! but I would of thought it would be like any other countries on line banking, and you should get access to your account.
