It would appear from all the repeated Q's on this forum that the majority of people don't know there is a search facility, and it searches only this site.

It is just under the tabs at the top of the page.

Might be an idea for one of the mods to suggest to the forum owner to move this down the page to just under or above the 'subject / posts / started by etc' bar then it may get used a little more and the repetition of the obvious might reduce.

People may use it more if it worked properly. It is a very antiquated system with no filters. Worst of all, the results do no seem to be Chronological.

You can filter very easily using + or ++ etc to proritise the search and - or -- etc to negate a content, if you put a search request in speech makrs, i.e. "search facility" it will only search for literally that phase, with a single space between the words.

Try typing ++ "search facility"

I use it quite a bit but it is not consistent with the results. Also it would be helpful if the posts were dated sometimes they are and sometimes not.
