This was reported in the Cyprus Mail as lifted from Afrika today;



Under the headline ‘£250,000 Sterling for Turks, £20,000 for Greeks”, the paper reports on Greek Cypriot applications to the IPC for occupied land in Kyrenia. According to the paper, the IPC values Kyrenia property at £20,000 Sterling per 1000 square meters (donum). However, Greek Cypriot properties allocated to Turkish Cypriots in the same area are valued at £250,000 per donum. Afrika referred specifically to a Greek Cypriot property in Kyrenia which had reportedly been allotted to Sakir Ilkay, former president of the high court of the breakaway regime. The paper writes that this property suffered damaged during the building of the Cratos Hotel, adding that Ilkay filed a lawsuit against the owners of the hotel seeking compensation. Afrika notes that the Turkish Cypriot high court accepted a valuation of £250,000 per donum.



£250,000 per donum!!! I wonder are expats TC or GC when it comes to selling property?

Yeah, right the GC's are rearly going to accept 20k per donum, which planet are these people on?
