Do you mean the advertisers who pay or the repetitive free posters who appear on a daily basis?

The ones that have IMHO spoilt Cyprus44 by constantly posting what are basically adverts on the topic forum rather than in the 'For Sale' forum? Have you seen the drop in the number of members online?

@ msg 1: "princeteddy", a new poster with another blank profile and a complaint - how interesting. Sigh and yawn.

@ msg 1, "princeteddy": Read the post and spot the well known errors in the English language - one Pound Sterling reward for the first poster who tells us who is back here with a FALSE ID...

@ msg 10, "Nijntje": Nice Dutch name you've got, "Nijntje Posten"! Too bad nobody told you when you entered this board that Nijntje is a girl's name, while in your profile you say you are male...

Constant business postings are pretty boring. Good business's usually work by word of mouth. The occasional business posting by people is not a big problem, if its for information purposes. But the 15tl lunch/ dinner/ Christmas dinner drives me crazy.

At least the businesses should make it "comfortable" to the forum members ( as long the forum rules say nothing about it) and name themselfes eg xy-bar or xy-restaurant to post their happyhour or chrismas offer. Or state openly that they are an estate agent. This applies also for "services" offered (not "help"), car dealers or others.

As long their are no rules about it; its free to post/advertise and get a job (whithout receipt ) !?

Careful Kaan, if your details are true aren't you a little young to be offering such impolite opinions?

There are some businesses that abuse the system IMO. Some days they go on 4 or 5 times a day to advertise Fish & chips, Pie and Mash, "we've moved inside" etc, etc They are based in Alsancak by the way and they are not the only ones. That is not what a Forum is for. A forum should be for discussions etc., not advertising. If they and others want to advertise, let them take out an Ad in the paper or properly on the Forum.

As i understand it most forums are set up to benefit the community and give advice and information . The forum that i was on in turkey when i lived there only allowed reccomendations which i think is a far better idea and if you want to post an add you have to make a donation to charity.Personaly i think its a much better idea

Message 12 - Word of mouth is ok, but when you are not living in NC all the time, this is not always possible. I have benefited by various restaurant postings and maintenance contractors. I do agree it is a bit boring when the same businesses keep posting on a daily basis though.
