Yes we have. Mostly OK, but sometimes delivery can be very slow. Odd items have not arrived, but have been resolved satisfactorily with the sellers. Watch out for the time restriction on opening a case. Items coming from "worldwide" e.g. China, USA don't seem to be a problem.

We have a problem because we don’t have a post code so cannot complete the order.

Yes, I've had problems getting parcels here. If you intend ordering a lot off the internet - get a PO box in the South. Works for me and is easily accessed. It costs about 50 euro the first year with the keys. You can walk accross at Ledra St crossing.

It is not a problem if you request International Signed for as the postal method - it is a bit more expensive but ensures that your item arrives. As above - this only applies to UK post as everything from Aus, China etc always arrives

I both buy and sell on ebay and all the problems mentioned above can be avoided with little care.

For example, different carriers have different 'special postcodes' for North Cyprus, for normal post, you can use 33009, for Fedex its 01010. You can find out what this code is for the specific carrier the other side is trying to use by just calling the local office.

I also do have a PO box in the south but prefer not to use it as 1. You will have to pay EU tax in some cases which is useless, 2. It means you will then have to smuggle goods through the border which is not ideal.

Message 4, where it says postcode put N/A and that seems to do it ok. When the parcel comes it does have on it Turkey N/A, but I guess the computers understand what that means.

It's hit and miss, sometimes my items are held back at Girne post office and other times they're passed on to the local postane who will deliver to me withou any problems. If your parcel doesn't arrive and you end up having to go to Girne General to collect, take your invoice/receipt with you when you go to collect, it's up to the person looking after the customs office at the time if/how much you'll be charged.

Vonny, if I'm not being too intrusive, what electrical items are you bringing, are you sure they're not here already for you to buy locally?

pippie,i wasnt planning on buying any electrical items at the moment. it was just we bought something from a turkish tv channel called Bid up,and we were charged duty at the post office for it so im guessing all electrical items would be charged when they arrive here.
