I was thinking the other day of writting a book about my experiences in Cyprus, I am looking for a title for the book, any suggestions?

It also occured to me that if a draft of the book was sent to publishers they would not sign me up as most of the content would seem unbelievable.

PS: I would use spell check and have proof reading prior to publication!

An English professor was lecturing to his English class one day. "In English," he said, "a double negative forms a positive. In some languages, though, such as Russian, a double negative is still a negative. However, there is no language wherein a double positive can form a negative."

A voice from the back of the room piped up, "Yeah, right."

The same question came up a few years ago when friends suggested I write a book about my divorce.

We decided that publishers wouldnt beleive it as non fiction and would think it too far fetched to be a work of fiction. same thing goes for my experiences in TRNC.

People keep saying that to me about writing a book

Not only experiences in N.Cyprus, but other countries

where I have lived & worked. Trouble is, nobody would

believe half of it! They would think I'm making it up and

I don't like not to be believed, as I never lie (except for white

lies to save feelings) Look fwd. to reading it Aslan, if you ever

get round to it.

It's got to be "Yavas yavas"...

subtitle:- "A Work Watcher's guide to Civil Service life in Cyprus"

You could do loads of photo illustrations of four or five people on a job... one working slowly, one smoking, one reading the paper and one having a cup of tea...

Then bring it bang up-to-date by adding, one making a personal phone call whilst glaring at you... whilst the others practice the new multi-tasking skills they have picked up by smoking, reading the paper and drinking coffee all at once....

I would normally ask if you know all of that song... as I bloody hope not!

You are to song lyrics what Idi Amin was to his enemies.... a murderer...

Some really strange thing happened which I was witness to

Sometimes fact can be as strange as any fiction.

Awful things too, and funny things. Yes, I must get down & write

Snakes,

If you put two tickets on the door we'll be there... Well I guess I'd better let her come... don't know why though, I mean, she'll sit there tutting saying - "It's too loud, I could be at home... when does it finish? Have they finished tuning up yet?" This was her famous comment about a Tommy Smith concert I took her to on the Renfrew Ferry, Glasgow, as part of "Mayfest"

Seriously I would appreciate the chance to here your guitar-manship...
