A man has pleaded for help to find the thief who stole his wife's car as she was scraping ice from the windscreen and then ran her over.

Caroline Johnson, 46, is in a critical condition in hospital after suffering multiple injuries in the incident in Humber Way, Langley, Slough, Berkshire.

She was struck as the thief drove away from the scene on Tuesday. The car was later recovered in Buckinghamshire.

Ms Johnson's husband, Mark Collins, said the family were "devastated".

As his MO involves waiting for someone to scrape ice off their car with the engine running it's not likely that he'll be spotted here....

What happened to her was awful, but talking abou ice, I've just had a realy interesting conversation with my local council:

Operater: "Hi my name is Micheal, how can I help"

Me:" Hi Micheal could somebody please grit Blakeston Lane as it is a death trap, their is a bank leading down to a railway crossing, when I was going down their this morning I couldn't brake, and just slid, now if the barrier had been down it would have been serious."

Operater: "Oh I see that could be dangerous, pause,........what type of ice is it?"
