When Bell's were initially banned from importing English bread they got a local bakery to try and copy it. I have to say that I wasn't that impressed.

However, they now have a new supplier and it is very good indeed and well worth buying if you like an English sliced loaf.

The thick sliced one is great for the freezer (we use it just for toast). The slices come off easily - we found that with the medium sliced loaves the slices were very difficult to separate.

We love our toast and eggs then marmalade for brekkie so really appreciate Bells having this product.

I can vouch for their new suppliers - the bread is absolutely delicious and thinly sliced.

Hi Suehowlittle, have Bells started selling the thick sliced again?

Last three times I've been they've only had the medium, even the price label for thick had been removed. Bought the medium first time but not since.
