The “Free Mammogram Scan against Breast Cancer Campaign” which is being held under the auspices of First Lady Meral Eroglu has been extended for another month. Speaking at a press conference held at the Dr Burhan Nalbantoglu State Hospital yesterday, First Lady Meral Eroglu said that the free mammogram scan campaign has been launched upon the request of the people.



Calling on all women to participate in the scanning, Mrs. Eroglu thanked Minister of Health Ahmet Kasif and experts as well as health personnel for their contributions in the campaign.

The Minister of Health Ahmet Kasif for his part said that the participation level was high in the campaign.

Stating that people should always have mammogram scans and not wait for campaigns, the Minister thanked Mrs. Eroglu for her contributions.



Noting that the most important problem was the MRI machine, Kasif said that the problems with the machine have been overcome and is working 24 hours a day.



He also called on men to have mammogram scans as they too could have breast cancer.
