Had the Census people back this afternoon to fill in missing questions. It wasn't even our page that we had to update. My wife is now a retired plumber, and I think I've given birth to a still born???? It's F***ing ridiculous

Glad to see that you must have told them the truth then! By the way it is only 2011 - maybe that is what confused you to start with??

I wonder how loaded for our futures was the question "did you retire from work before 2001 or afterwards" ? What significance might there be in 10 years of retirement ? My answer was not acceptable anyway "I retired from working approximately 1984 but my boss did not notice so I kept taking the salary until he did, in 2004" !

My cypriot friend was asked if she planned on having more children and as she had just told the woman her husband has dissapeared to Turkey and didn't know when or if he would return, she found the question really funny (and stupid).

When asked if I had given birth to a baby in the last year, I merely replied 'I wish!' But that kind of miracle is asking just too much!
