I have been up since 6ish, in anticipation of a census. By lunchtime, no sign of anyone...then learned on the internet and by phone that most of my neighbours have been seen and forms filled in...not me though. All day i left Mr Ted and Poppy (who feels the cold more than me) outside as a canine doorbell. Nothing. Then about 4pm my turkish neighbours invited me over for a bit of chow, as i can see my house there, i went. I had some chicken and a bit of pork (heaven forbid) and a few beers...i was even given a bag of tangerines for my dogs (they know my dogs love fruit)...still no sign of the census folk.....



But i have to say, i've had a really lovely day...many thanks to my neighbours....Allah Akbah!!

Maybe the dogs put them off. Our census lady had retreated halfway back up the road when our dog barked.

Our man this morning (8.30am with no boot fair) waited at front gate, till dogs woke us and Kevin went and got him in, but silly questions I know, however quite painless wasn't it!

Was up at 7, had to wait till 4:30pm!!, 10 minutes of questions and finished, On reflection; No road traffic Noise,No Hunters, just birdsong, can we do it every month??

So peaceful here today, no boy racers tearing up the Baspinar Road opposite, no hunters, even very few dogs barking, lovely. Census lady arrives at 2.45, finished by 3, no problems and she was very polite and friendly.
