Hubby said on the Turkish News last night, it stated if you didn't get called upon yesterday, it will probably happen today !!!!!



Nice of them to let the expats know......



Has anyone had a visit today ???? That would clarify the info.

I can clarify this my Cypriot neighbour didn't get seen yesterday, as many of us didn't.

They called her up first thing this morning and told her they would come to day.

Having been done yesterday, I can tell you it's a farce in any case. Some people had 30 questions, some 60 and some the whole malarky. Our 3 chaps hardly took it seriously (one did absolutely nothing at all) A nice day out in the sun and got paid for it.

I filled in 4 pages on an english form which was then copied into a book. My neighbour was asked 12 questions in total. He was asked for his passport i was not. No consistency at all. My friend was one of the census takers and she said no one else should fill in the form only the officials. ??????????????

Ever get fed up of Turkcell and TelSim sending you out text messages that ask you to reply "for free" to 8888 or some other number if you want to participate????



How about asking Turkcell and TelSim to send out a text in Turkish and English to simply say for instance = Have you been counted in the census? If yes send a blank text to ???? - if no send a blank text to ????.



Then count up the "TOTAL" number of replies against the number counted in the actual census and see what the difference is. In addition count up the number of non replies to the text sent out against the number sent and you will have another figure to add into your statistic.



Then simply pass all the numbers to the government with all the information gained and let them "massage" it till it meets the requirements of the UN. Job done. No more visits needed and no more lock downs. Whats more - no language barrier either. Will also slow down traffic as most can not text and drive at the same time - l
