Hi All,

Has anyone ever seen bark chippings in the TRNC and if yes, where?

Hoping someone can help.

i'd steer clear - with the hot temperatures followed by the rain, they won't last long - stones are much better, even if they don't look so good...

Nick, why do you always have to be so negative?

One problem with the bark chippings when it decomposes i that the nutrients in soil can be upset. Sue

Sounds daft I know, but Offsetsan, the place that sell pool chemicals stock them!

Directions are bound to be on here somewhere.

I remember Tulin from Bahceli garden centre saying that bark chippings use a lot of Nitrogen in decomposing, so it is as well to treat the soil to some high nitrogen fertilizer first.

The Nitrogen is later returned to the soil, but it could lead to a temporary shortage.

I've not had any trouble with winds moving my home made chippings, but the birds love rooting about in it, not to mention the cats! - Not at the same time, I might add...
