| I brought a garden shredder with me.Circuit breaker arriving Sunday.Within a couple of weeks should have created tons.If you can wait,cost neglible a brandy or two. Mike |

| Has anyone laid bark chippings ? if so what feedback can you kindly give ? we were thinking of laying bark , but we have very bad winds in the winter and we are right on the coast , should we ? |

| One problem with the bark chippings when it decomposes i that the nutrients in soil can be upset. Sue |

| Sounds daft I know, but Offsetsan, the place that sell pool chemicals stock them! Directions are bound to be on here somewhere. I remember Tulin from Bahceli garden centre saying that bark chippings use a lot of Nitrogen in decomposing, so it is as well to treat the soil to some high nitrogen fertilizer first. The Nitrogen is later returned to the soil, but it could lead to a temporary shortage. I've not had any trouble with winds moving my home made chippings, but the birds love rooting about in it, not to mention the cats! - Not at the same time, I might add... |
